Changing good intention into consistent behaviour

"More and more companies are waking up to the view that climate change can be a way of motivating and empowering employees by letting them know that they can make a difference."
Jim Haywood, Business in the Community director of environment.

NGL's unique approach places an emphasis on fun and the gently competitive involvement of the whole team to get them interested, motivated and taking part. This all helps to boost morale and make it worthwhile.

Workgreen's 'X' factor is its ability to change good intention into consistent behaviour using a carefully crafted, but simple process to get a conversation going and gently encourage people to be involved in doing their bit. The effect is to generate a positive peer pressure to improve green performance and keep in place good practices, leaving you free to concentrate on your priorities.

Workgreen® Discussions

Workgreen puts your green message into four Discussions covering each of the key green topics, making it easy for your team to take part without being overloaded. Running these consistently with their simple follow up activity and displaying the Workgreen office materials gives you a steady "drip, drip" approach to raising awareness and influencing behaviour. This has been proven to have a far greater impact than the occasional training course - and it doesn't need time off or a training room!

Manageable bite-sized chunks

A typical Discussion takes about 20 minutes and places an emphasis on getting everyone involved. They cater for all learning styles and abilities, so no one will feel left out.

Facilitated by their supervisor or a 'green champion' a small group from your team would work in pairs to do a fun and engaging activity around one of the green topics. This leads into a short discussion about what they currently do and importantly, what they will now try to do to improve or change behaviour.

Afterwards there's a short piece of follow up by the 'green champion' to keep the conversation going and check on progress. This involvement builds credibility for your initiative and keeps it relevant to the team.
